Looking for something different that gets you off the couch?
You've been there -
sitting on the couch,
across from a complete stranger,
pouring out your life's story,
hoping that if you just tell it
one more time,
you'll work through some things...
But what if therapy could be different?
Sometimes, talk therapy
just doesn't cut it.
Our bodies are fascinating beings that have a tendency to hold onto the painful things that have happened over the years.

Those feelings and sensations get stored and stuck in the parts of the brain that can't be accessed by words alone.

{That's why telling our stories over and over again doesn't resolve the issue.}
Neuroaesthetic studies show that art, music, and kinesthetic movement help unlock the parts of the brain that store those memories.

{Artmaking can provide a safe space to process and make meaning of your story.}

Art Therapists provide specific art materials and directives, tailored just for you, to help you access the areas of life where you feel stuck - the areas that are difficult for you to talk about.
{Art Therapists offer a safe space that allows you to be yourself while in the process of finding yourself.}
"But I'm not an artist! I don't have a creative bone in my body!" That's okay - no art experience is necessary! Anyone can use creativity to go deeper within, express themselves, and heal.

{Art Therapy truly has the power to illuminate, inspire, transform, and heal.}

I'm a Licensed Professional Art Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Board Certified Art Therapist, and founder of Leaves Of The Tree, LLC. I've used the arts in my own life to explore the depths of my inner self and work through trauma and hurt. I'm passionate about helping people find meaning and purpose as they use the creative arts to process their life story.

I would love to work with you! - to provide a safe space for you to navigate through those "stuck" places - to help you find your sense of self, discover your identity, make meaning of your story, and feel more empowered to find a life worth living.
